HB 2460 our Eddie Eagle GunSafe training in schools bill passed out of the House Fed & State committee last month and is headed to the House floor for consideration!

This simple program emphasizes four key conepts:

STOP!        DON’T TOUCH        RUN AWAY        TELL A GROWN UP

The award-winning Eddie Eagle GunSafe program – now in its 30th year — is the gold standard for youth firearms safety education. It has a proven track record of reducing accidental firearms deaths among children. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, accidental firearm fatalities among children of the Eddie Eagle program’s targeted age group have declined approximately 70% in the last 30 years. This downward trend coincides with an upward trend in gun ownership. Over the past several decades, the number of firearms owned by the American people has risen by more than 200 million. The Eddie Eagle GunSafe program, has educated more than 30 million school children, grades K-4.
